- "Mesra Bakti" / "We" / "Us" refers to the family law practice operating from Unit 5-2, Solaris Dutamas, Jalan Dutamas 1, 50480 Kuala Lumpur.
- "Services" refers to the legal consultations, document preparation, and representation offered by Mesra Bakti as described on this website.
- "Client" / "You" refers to any individual who engages or enquires about our services.
- "Website" refers to the site accessible at this domain.
- "Agreement" refers to the engagement letter or service agreement issued before any work begins.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or engaging our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are acting on behalf of another person, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
3. Description of Services
Mesra Bakti provides the following family law services in Malaysia:
- Family Guidance Conversation (RM 240) — A confidential consultation to help you understand your situation and options
- Arrangements & Agreements (RM 287) — Preparation of formal family arrangements and legal documents
- Representation with Sensitivity (RM 329) — Formal legal representation in proceedings, where required
Services are available to clients within Malaysia. The scope of each engagement will be set out in a written agreement prior to commencement.
4. Engagement and Instructions
No legal work will commence until a written engagement letter has been issued and accepted by you. Instructions must be clear, accurate, and provided in a timely manner. We reserve the right to decline an engagement where a conflict of interest exists or where we consider it professionally inappropriate to act.
5. User Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete information when requested
- Communicate promptly when information or a decision is required
- Not use our website for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that infringes the rights of others
- Treat our team with courtesy and respect throughout the engagement
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, design elements, and layout — is the intellectual property of Mesra Bakti and is protected under applicable Malaysian law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or republish any part of this website without our prior written consent. Documents prepared on your behalf remain the property of Mesra Bakti until all outstanding fees have been settled.
7. Fees and Payment
Our service fees are as follows and are denominated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM):
- Family Guidance Conversation: RM 240
- Arrangements & Agreements: RM 287
- Representation with Sensitivity: RM 329
All fees are stated inclusive of applicable taxes. Payment is due as specified in the engagement letter. We accept payment by bank transfer, online banking, or such other methods as agreed. For matters requiring disbursements (court fees, registration fees, etc.), these will be communicated in advance and are payable separately.
8. Cancellations and Refunds
If you wish to cancel an engagement, please notify us as soon as possible in writing. Work completed up to the point of cancellation will be charged at the applicable rate. If a consultation has not yet taken place, a full refund will be issued where notice is given at least 24 hours in advance. We are unable to offer refunds for completed services.
9. Confidentiality
All information shared with us in the course of an engagement is treated as confidential and is protected by legal professional privilege under Malaysian law. We will not disclose your information to any third party without your consent, except where required by law or court order.
10. Disclaimers

11. Limitation of Liability

12. Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement by giving written notice. We may terminate an engagement where a client is in breach of these terms, where a conflict of interest arises, or where we consider it professionally necessary to withdraw. Upon termination, any work completed to date will be invoiced accordingly, and your file will be made available to you or your new representative as required by the Malaysian Bar's rules.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from the use of our services or this website shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. We encourage parties to seek resolution informally in the first instance by contacting us directly.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Material changes will be notified via our website. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
